What is the eligibility criteria to attend SPIRIT’12?
A valid college identity card is all we ask for. You are not required to bring any sort of a letter/document from your college.
What are the accommodation charges?
An amount of Rs.300/- per person is accommodation fee for all two days subject to following conditions:
i) All the items provided are returned in proper condition.
ii) No damage has been done to the room where accommodation has been provided.
Will I have to pay only half the amount if I stay only for one day?
Even if you stay for one day you will be charged the same amount.
Is accommodation based on first come first serve basis?
Yes.
Is accommodation provided to students who do not particiapte in Competitions?
NO, you will not get accommodation if you dont participate in competitions and just be the audience.
Will I get separate accommodation if I am not a part of my college contingent?
Yes, even if you are not a part of your college contingent accommodation will be provided to you.
Are separate arrangements made for accommodation of professors/guardians?
Your professors/guardians will be provided accommodation along with you. You are not allowed to bring your guardians. Professors will be charged double the rate for students. Their ID card is also a must.
Is there any deadline for registering for accommodation?
It is based on first come first serve basis and the registrations will be accomplished as soon as the dead line gets past its stipulated value.
How do I reach IT-BHU from railway station?
There are taxi and auto-rickshaws available at nominal charges at railway station, which will bring you at the campus( IT-BHU).
Is there any internal transport keeping in mind the huge area of your campus?
Internal transport will be available at reasonable rates. There is free Bus facility and also auto rickshaws are usually available in campus.
Am I allowed to take pics/videos of my event?
You are allowed to take pics/videos of your events.
Is food included in registration charges?
Yes, The amount collected for registration includes messing facilities. Also A full fledged canteen will be available on all days.
Are there ATMs inside the campus?
There are SBI and Bank Of Baroda ATMs inside the campus. There is also an ICICI and HDFC ATM just outside the campus.
Are there sufficient medical facilities inside the campus?
Every hostel where you get accommodation will have a first-aid kit. There is a Hospital inside the campus.
All important phone numbers (security, hospital,etc.) will be there in the instruction booklet which will be given to you when you arrive.
What should be my checklist when I leave my room?
Make sure that you return the mattresses, pillows, blankets etc which were given to you.
Where should I collect my prizes and certificates?
All prizes and certificates are to be given during valedictory function. Details about the same will be given to you when you register for an event.
How do I register for any particular event?
You don’t have to register separately for every events. You can participate in any event without paying extra fee.
Should my quiz team be from my own college ?
No, it's not necessary. You can form your team with members from different colleges.
What do I get from participating in Spirit '12 ?
Besides the obvious; participation certificate, souvenir and attractive prizes if you win any event; you get valueable experienced, a different plateform to present yourself and great memories of your visit to IT-BHU and Varanasi.
