V-Flex -The Varanasi Adobe Flex Users Group, is a community for developers which aims at spreading awareness about Flex , sharing knowledge about this platform amongst themsleves, and giving initiative to new developers to participate in this community by holding workshops and competitions at different levels in Varanasi.
workshop
A workshop will be conducted on "Introduction to Application Development using AIR 2.5" on 7th of Jan'11. Major attraction of the workshop will be new Adobe Air 2.5 and designing the flv player, which will be created by the students within 20 minutes.
The objectives we have put down for this first workshop are:
- Introduction to RIA development.
- Introduction to AIR 2.5 for development of general purpose and RIA based desktop applications.
- Live tutorial for introduction with Flash Builder 4 and developing applications.
- Introduction to upcoming AIR based application development competitions.
We would like to bring to your notice that even if you don't have any previous knowledge about application development, you would still be able to learn a lot from this workshop.The workshop includes not just a presentation but also designing of a desktop application using AIR 2.5.

- Competition for development of a search application using Adobe air 2.5 and Flash Builder 4. The problem statement for the same will be released during the workshop.
