Biomechanics

Biomechanics is the mechanics related to biology. The human body is an extremely complicated and uneven system although it appears quite simple and symmetric from the outside. Researchers have revealed many of the secrets. Medicinal and surgical methodologies have been developed to cure the systems of diseases and abnormalities. An in-depth study from formulation point of view requires adequate knowledge of mathematics and computation. Only accurate mathematical formulations can give patterns of behaviour and can acclaim prediction of the best remedial measures. The organs of animals together with their physiological functions such as nutrition, respiration, reproduction and excretion constitute different physiological systems. The information and predictions based on biomechanical research help bio-engineers fabricate artificial limbs such as prosthetic heart valves, wombs etc. and help clinicians diagnose the very cause of anomalies and alterations in physiological organs and thereby ease the treatment by artificial interventions. The widespread investigations carried out with physiological systems have endorsed its essentiality as a component to the medical, veterinary as well as agri-, horti-, and floricultural sciences.
