DST-CIMS

The Department Of Science and Technology, Government Of India(DST) has established 'CENTRE OF INTERDISCIPLINARY MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES' at BHU.

Prof. K.N. Rai is the Co-Coordinator of the project for Mathematical Modeling and Computational Aspects. Under this scheme the department will be involved in carrying out extensive research in the areas mentioned below with the support of DST.

Research Topics in Mathematical Modeling and Computational Aspects:

  1. Heat and Mass Transfer
  2. Skin burn injury
  3. Cryosurgery
  4. Tumor growth
  5. Stem cells differentiation
  6. Non-linear hyperbolic system of partial differential equations with applications.
  7. Transport of Food-stuff in Oesophagus
  8. Blood flow through arteries
  9. Flow of urine through ureters
  10. Flow of spermatozoa in vas deferens
  11. Transport of chyme in intestines
  12. Dynamically coupled problems based on Generalized Thermo-elasticity
  13. Dynamically coupled problems based on Magneto-thermo-elasticity.

Various conferences/seminars/workshops scheduled under this project are here.
