The admissions to the post graduate programme at Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU) are made through an all India competitive examination known as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) conducted by the seven IITs and IISc Bangalore on behalf of national coordinating board GATE Department of education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
